ser·en·dip·i·ty/ˌserənˈdipitē/Noun: The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way: “a fortunate stroke of serendipity”.
Contrary to what was said, we did not stumble upon this place by chance…
Service - 7/10 - descent, friendly, responsive and quick
Decor - 7/10 - fun, clean, pink and very soda shop like. Minus points for an outdoors bathroom..!
Food - 7/10 - it’s what you would expect from a chain restaurant. The other one is in NYC. You can get burgers, salads, pasta, sandwiches, soup etc. Giant portions, not very complex food honestly.
There’s tons of history to this place. It was a former meeting place in NY famous for attracing writers and underground up and comers. It also had one of the first lamps by Tiffany’s.
Their claim to fame is the hot chocolate (or iced) and their old fashioned sundae - which i dare not try. The hot chocolate is comprised of 12-15 different types of cocoa i suppose which come together and create this enormous, mammoth concoction of a chocolately desert! Let me know if you try this and tell me what you think!
Exhaling it out in Uclelet. Dark skies did not turn us away from enjoying everything that is to be loved about the island. Hikes, beach, sand, trees, rocks, food, jacuzzi time and repeat. I had a great time and cannot wait to be back. #re-igniting
In celebration of my partner’s birthday this year, we went to Hawksworth for the tasting menu. Fact: my sister and bf share the same birthday date. Sheesh. I’ve been to this restaurant many a times before, but never had the chance to savour the tasting menu. Great quality food served with attention to detail. I almost want to like hawksworth slightly more than Market due to the service. Here are some photo highlights:

Fave dish of the night was the stealhead salmon ;) 50% cooked….
